  Job Summary

  The ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Reporting Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of ESG data and reporting within the organization. This position involves collecting and conducting audits of data sets, implementing controls, and monitoring reporting progress to ensure adherence to standards and reporting frameworks. The ESG Reporting Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and drive continuous improvement in environmental reporting practices. ESG data includes but is not limited to, carbon emissions, electricity usage, natural gas usage, and EHS data. The successful candidate should be proactive, autonomous, able to provide innovative solutions that balance compliance and business concerns, enjoy working hard and being challenged, have strong written and oral communication skills, quick to learn new tools, and demonstrate sound and pragmatic judgment in a variety of situations.

  Job Functions:

  •

  Prepare and analyze ESG reporting of environmental performance data to internal staff, clients, and regulatory bodies, (e.g., Tier II Reporting, Eco Vadis, ESG report, and other relevant reports).

  •

  Collaborate with business units to gather necessary data inputs to assist with ESG data collection protocols, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  •

  Provide guidance and insight to internal teams on ESG data collection, validation, and reporting processes.

  •

  Develop and implement controls and tools to improve the accuracy of ESG data and efficiency of ESG data collection process.

  •

  Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses, highlighting key trends and patterns on ESG data.

  •

  Direct, conduct and assist in ESG and other departmental audits and inspections, as required to meet ISO Standard(s) and other frameworks, like Ecovadis, as determined.

  •

  Manage waste audits in support of WWT ESG Waste goals.

  •

  Manage the maintenance of training data, inspection data, audits, and other related documentation, as required.

  •

  Analyze, compile, and maintain departmental data, generate reports, verify data, and distribute reports, as required.

  •

  Assisting the team in carrying out environmental research and benchmarking to identify mitigation options for improving environmental performance at WWT in line with modern standards.

  •

  Assisting the team in managing supplier engagement around sustainable procurement goals, Scope 3, and other reporting, as required.

  •

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels to accomplish shared project goals.

  •

  Develop, manage, and participate in other projects, as assigned.

  Qualifications:

  •

  Working knowledge of reporting global ESG reporting standards and regulations and familiarity with ISO Standards.

  •

  Ability to audit operations to ISO Standards and other Frameworks.

  •

  Ability to seek out and utilize data for reporting functions and the continuous improvement of reporting and data mapping.

  •

  Ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders in developing reports for the department.

  •

  Ability to work with complex data sets and present it to non specialists in a concise and easily understood manner.

  •

  Ability to set goals and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  •

  Strong interpersonal/communication (verbal and written) skills.

  •

  Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines, both internally and externally.

  •

  Organizational skills and attention to detail.

  •

  Ability to work independently, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision.

  •

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  •

  Ability to adapt and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  •

  Ability to recognize and handle sensitive and confidential information.

  •

  Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) and other database management tools

  Additional Qualifications:

  Auditor/Lead Auditor certification strongly preferred in ESG, Sustainability, Safety or Business Continuity related standards.

  Project Management Certification a plus

  Demonstrable experience in a related field or combination of education, training and/or experience required.

  Demonstrable experience with Data Analytics, Sustainable Procurement, Auditing practices and/or Implementation of ISO Standards a plus.
