Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D0386000 and is part of the KS Joint Forces Headquarters, National Guard. Responsibilities An EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0260-09, serves as the assistant to the Equal Opportunity Manager in planning and implementation of a Statewide equal employment opportunity program. Assists in the development and implementation of the National Guard Bureau Equal Opportunity Program at the State level. Assists in writing the Affirmative Action plan covering both short- and long-range goals and objectives. Continuously reviews this plan and revises it as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E5 through E8 or O1 through O3 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other type of experience which demonstrates ability to meet and deal effectively with persons of different ages, races, and economic and education background; to collect and assemble pertinent facts, and to prepare clear and concise written reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year specialized experience must be equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-7). Specialized experience is experience, education or training involving the administering, delivering, maintaining, advising, and adapting basic concepts, principles, and theories of Equal Employment Opportunity to the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements. No special demands are required to perform the work.
