Job Summary
This position specifically supports the Patient Access team which isresponsible for ADT, Cadence and HIM module(s) within Epic. Additionallythe ideal candidate will be experienced and certified/proficient inCadence, Cheers, Prelude or Release of Information. MyChart, RTE,Welcome, Referrals and Authorizations, or HIM experience is a plus
Under general direction, the Epic Application Analyst II is an Epiccertified or proficient individual, who is responsible for the support,analysis, design, build, configuration, implementation, workflowdocumentation, and educational support of the assigned Epic applicationsoftware, in alignment with organization's policies, procedures, andbusiness o
Is knowledgeable about Epic or healthcare IT system functions. Readilydisplays the ability to diagnose issues, identify appropriate resources andescalations, and propose creative solutions to complex problems.
Understands the functions and processes of key customer departments and cancoordinate and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholder groups.
Can function independently at the level that will allow them to participate inthe 24x7 on-call rotation and coordinate and deliver team level projectrequests.Works with the objective of delivering elegant solutions that are intuitive,empowering, efficient, scalable, sustainable, systems focused, andfoundation based. Maximizes use of Epic foundation functionality to enhanceuser experience, limiting custom solutions when foundation tools areavailable.
Uses analytics to drive workflow changes and process decision. Developsmeasurements and tools for monitoring value and success of system changes.Facilitates a handoff of monitoring value and success to operations. We striveto maintain a 90% Epic enhancement adoption rate.
Essential Functions:
General (50%)Plans and organizes time effectively.Partners with Epic end users to identify needs, opportunities,weaknesses, and issues to provide solutions and improvements. Which mayinclude attending site visits, validation sessions, and other integratedsessioParticipates and guides the phases of system changes, including design,build, testing, documentation and education.Complies with department processes for change management and risk mitigation.Using tools such as Epic Content Management, Data Courier, and otherdepartment tools.Communicates with team, stakeholders and vendors to discuss the status ofissues, trends, deliverables, end-user concerns, and anticipatedmilestones. Provides feedback to vendors on existing functionality and desirednew / modified functionality to enhance overall system capabilities.Maintains and reviews the status of projects and escalates issues and risks onan ongoing basis with leadership.Follows standard work for documentation of all solutions ensuring consistentdeliverable and reusable solutionsActively reviews and responds to vendor, enterprise, and team correspondence.Makes use of IT and enterprise problem/request tracking tools. Keeps currentdocumentation on all assigned tasks. Completes work status and time allocationdocumentation as required.Work with training staff to ensure documentation and training materials are inline with delivered solutions.Makes formal and informal presentations to leadership and end users bothorally and in writing.Participates in Epic team integrated workgroup(s).
Provide primary support to Epic end-users (25%)Break/fix supportIdentify reoccurring issues or weaknesses, and proactivel documentsolutions to expedite issue resolution.Standing maintenance tasks such as, managing and acting on error reports,work queues, and other notifications.
Service Requests/Projects (25%)Follow established processes to complete service requests.Leads or participates in the evaluation, solution analysis,prioritization, and delivery of changes to existing system or workflows.Evaluates and presents feasibility, effort and timelines required tocomplete customer requests.Create and execute project plans - defining deliverables, developing andmanaging schedule, task identification and ownership, and overall statustracking.Maintains regular communication with project team members and leadership asrole dictates.
