We are seeking an HSE Specialist to conduct safety audits, inspect PPE, manage Safety Walk Data, and maintain the Good Catch board. This role involves chemical inventory audits, using Google Translate for HSE messages, monitoring contractors, and assisting with Good Catch resolutions. You will also help plan Safety Week, create Toolbox Talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA. This position offers a good schedule and the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Conduct safety audits and PPE audits.

Inspect PPE on the line for replacement needs.

Schedule and post Safety Walk Data.

Maintain the Good Catch board.

Perform chemical inventory audits.

Use Google Translate to convey HSE-related messages to employees.

Assist with Good Catch resolutions and gather information for solutions.

Monitor contractors on-site, reviewing paperwork and ensuring adherence to safety policies.

Create a binder with printed SDSs for each department/area to comply with OSHA.

Help plan Safety Week.

Create and translate Toolbox Talks for the site.

Perform any other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Experience in health and environmental safety.

Proficiency in conducting safety audits and PPE audits.

Ability to manage Safety Walk Data.

Effective communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

OSHA 10-hour certification (helpful but not required).

Additional Skills Qualifications

Attention to detail.

Good communication with people.

Work Environment

This position is in a clean room environment assembling medical devices, which requires wearing PPE and prohibits nail polish, makeup, or anything that could cause issues with the devices. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexibility after training.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
