About the Role
Provides assistance to and takes direction from, the EHS Specialist. Assignments may be given to close action items from Magna and outside services audits as well as prepare for certification audits such as ISO-45001.
Your Responsibilities
This may include projects such as:
• Auditing/updating Lockout/Tagout Machine Specific Procedures
• Performing chemical audits & updating Chemical Inventory; ensuring SDS’s are on file for all chemicals.
• Completing/auditing Hazardous Risk Assessments & Job Hazard Assessments
• Assisting with Hotwork Permits
• Completing area safety audits
• Assisting with Management of Change audits/reviews
• Assisting with Ergonomics Reviews of equipment
• Assisting with incident investigations
• Audit/assist with training of Health & Safety topics
• Assisting with leading a safety committee
Note: projects will be assigned according to the experience of the intern and classroom knowledge of Environmental and Health & Safety programs. The EHS Specialist will work closely with the intern to provide support & knowledge of each project with the goal of providing real life exposure to EHS compliance.

High School Diploma
Currently Attending a College or University
Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
