As an Environmental Expert, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing environmental impact, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing sustainable practices within our organization.
In this role, you will indeed have a unique learning opportunity to manage various areas, including wastewater treatment facilities, new facility construction projects, and working with high-potency ingredients. Additionally, you will have the chance to collaborate with various virtual communities within our organization. You will also be an integral part of the team responsible for enhancing our current sustainability model. This position offers a dynamic and engaging environment where you can contribute to meaningful projects and make a positive impact on environmental sustainability.
This position is based in Koropi and reports to the EHS Manager.
This is a hybrid role and you can work from home for 2 days a week!
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible to implement, update and maintain all Records and guidelines and procedures for Environmental Protection Systems.
• Supports Projects on various environmental/engineering topics/ initiatives (i.e. Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), Waste Water Treatment Plan (WWTP), Pharmaceuticals in Environment (PIE) global project, waste management).
• Responsible for Data Collection locally and data entry, verification and correction for all Environmental systems monitoring.
• Supports reporting for authorities and into various audience in the organization.
• Follows up EU/Local Environmental requirements & legislation and maintains records & documents.
• Supports EHS Compliance responsible in:
Environmental audits (internal/external).
Change control procedures and prepares documentation for all changes & projects, that may have an impact on environmental protection & management.
• Participates (upon demand) or collaborates with Change Control Committee and/or EHS compliance representative.
• Responsible for maintaining a functional waste management system for hazardous and non-hazardous wastes to achieve Zero to Landfill initiative.
• Supports EHS Manager & Experts on Energy Efficiency Initiatives.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
• University diploma in Engineering/ Environmental Science/ Environmental Engineering/ Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in Environmental engineering in an industry environment preferably in pharmaceutical and alternatively in process industry.
• Excellent command of both the English and Greek language.
• Excellent communication skills on all levels of hierarchy.
• Project Management experience is considered a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Able to work with SAP.
• Experience with audits is considered a plus.
• Customer service mindset, decision making, work in cross functional environment.
