Title:
Environmental Engineer
KBR is seeking a System Safety Engineer to support the United States Space Force's (USSF) Satellite Control Network (SCN). The SCN provides highly reliable and secure data transfer, telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications (TT&C3) for more than 195 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil, and allied satellites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with system engineers to analyze project designs and determine environmental impacts.
Apply for permits as appropriate for both US and United Kingdom requirements.
Perform calculations and analysis.
Create environmental reports.
Manages environmental investigations and remediation projects.
Work with the government customer to minimize environmental impacts.
Communicates clearly and has strong written and verbal communication skills.
Collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders and has strong interpersonal skills.
Basic Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field is required and 5+ yeas of experience.
Current/capable of obtaining a DoD secret security clearance.
US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
Experience with the Satellite Control Network (SCN).
Experience working on military installations both foreign and domestic.
Basic Compensation:
Salary Range: 88,000 – 110,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
