Description Robert Half is looking to fill a position for an Accounting Clerk for a well-respected organization in the hi tech engineering industry. The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk will be assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and general forms of data entry. This is a long-term contract / temporary employment based in the Dover, New Hampshire area.

　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt

　　Post financial information to journals and ledgers

　　Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

　　Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

　　Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources Requirements - Strong familiarity with Excel Formulas

　　Knowledge of Basic Bookkeeping

　　Solid understanding of account reconciliation

　　Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system

　　Outstanding data entry skills

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
