A Fortune 500 Manufacturer is in search of a full-time Environmental Engineer for direct hiring. The position is in the Huntsville, AL area. The Environmental Engineer will take charge of driving site initiatives aimed at attaining the company's energy and emissions goals.
Compensation will be based on experience, ranging up to $120,000 with the added potential for a bonus, relocation assistance, and other enticing benefits. It is imperative that all candidates possess legal authorization to work in the United States of America.

responsibilities:
Lead environmental and safety compliance
Implement and manage air, water, and waste environmental programs
Team responsibility for environmental permitting and reporting
Engage with various teams and departments within the plant on environmental compliance and improvement
Community outreach
Minimum Qualifications:
A four-year degree from an accredited university in environmental or a related discipline.
Two or more years of experience in environmental compliance, including air pollution control, waste management, and/or wastewater treatment operations.
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations (air, water, EPCRA, DOT, and hazardous waste).
Preferred Qualifications:
A four-year degree from an accredited university in engineering, preferably environmental, chemical, civil, or a similar environmental program.
Preferred work experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Experience with the implementation and maintenance of ISO14001 or an equivalent Environmental Management System (EMS).
Knowledge of RCRA waste generation, storage, and proper disposal.
