JOB REQUIREMENTS: Additional Responsibilities: Receives workinstructions, operation sheets, setup sheets, and 1st piece andin-process check sheets from department supervision indicating theoperations to be performed Reads and interprets dimensions drawings,sketches, tool setup sheets and manufacturing instructions in performingrequired machining operation and setups Uses operational drawings todetermine required dimensions, travels, and tolerance to be maintainedOversees and controls the operation of machining centers in themachining of forgings made from various types of super alloys with fullsupport of the engineering and programming departments. Uses precisionor standard measuring devices that are completely furnished by thecompany, such as scales inside and outside micrometers, dial indicators,Vernier scales, fixed frame gauges or special gauges, and profilometersto check machined dimensions and surface finishes conforming to customerprints and/or specifications. Loads and unloads pieces using an overheadhoist.
