Description The Enterprise Technology Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the Enterprise Applications and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) teams, ensuring effective management and implementation of enterprise technology projects with a strong focus on enhancing user experience. This position works closely with department heads to align Enterprise Applications and GIS strategies with overall IT and organizational goals, while placing a paramount emphasis on optimizing user experiences. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). In addition to reporting to the CIO, the role requires close collaboration with the Deputy Chief Information Officer (Deputy CIO) to ensure the alignment and integration of Enterprise Applications and GIS strategies within the broader IT and organizational framework. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Foster a culture of user-centric thinking, high performance, and continuous improvement within the Enterprise Applications and GIS teams.Lead and manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of Enterprise Applications, including GIS, with a keen eye on user satisfaction and usability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather user feedback and requirements, and integrate these insights into the design and improvement of enterprise solutions to enhance the overall user experience.Drive user-centric initiatives, usability testing, and UX/UI enhancements to ensure that Enterprise Applications and GIS deliver intuitive and efficient experiences for end-users.Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improving user experience and implementing best practices.Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and monitor and evaluate results.Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes for Enterprise Applications and GIS services and products.Ensure vendors and service providers adhere to contractual obligations and SLAs, delivering quality services and products and regularly evaluate vendor performance and compliance, taking corrective action when necessary.Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Regularly report to senior management, providing accurate and timely project status updates.Ability to be helpful and provide quality customer service.Positively interact with other persons at all times.Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.Performs related duties as assigned.Subject to recall 24/7.
