Your Day to Day:
General Maintenance and Repairs
Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities, identifying and addressing maintenance issues in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks.
Perform repairs, installations, and replacements of equipment and fixtures to ensure their proper functioning and extend their lifespan.
Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance promptly and effectively, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to address maintenance concerns and maintain a smoothly running operation.
Financial
Assist in developing and managing maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective practices and alignment with financial goals.
Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance processes, reduce operational costs, and improve efficiencies without compromising quality.
Collaborate with engineering management to prioritize maintenance tasks based on criticality and budget constraints.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services, ensuring competitive pricing and quality workmanship.
Guest Experience
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment for guests by regularly inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and facilities.
Prioritize and address maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and functionality.
Assist in setting up and maintaining equipment for events and functions, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
Provide guidance and support to housekeeping and maintenance staff to maintain a pleasant guest environment.
Responsible Business
Adhere to all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations to ensure compliance within the workplace.
Promote environmentally friendly practices, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and responsible resource management.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in maintenance operations to drive continuous improvement.
What we need from you:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification; trade certifications in relevant disciplines preferred.
Proven experience in general maintenance and repair tasks, preferably in a hospitality or similar setting.
Solid knowledge of multiple trades, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance practices.
Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and perform repairs or coordinate with external contractors/vendors as needed.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to efficiently work with guests, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or in a team environment.
Understanding of financial principles and budget management.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable practices in maintenance operations.
