Your Day to Day:
HVAC System Maintenance and Repairs
Conduct regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of the hotel's HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues promptly to minimize guest discomfort and operational disruptions.
Perform repairs or coordinate external contractors for complex HVAC problems, adhering to budget guidelines and quality standards.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs performed.
Financial
Assist in developing and managing budgets for HVAC maintenance, repairs, and energy consumption.
Identify cost-saving opportunities related to energy efficiency, equipment lifespan, and operational practices, while ensuring guest comfort is maintained.
Conduct regular reviews of maintenance contracts and supplier agreements to optimize value and negotiate competitive pricing.
Guest Experience
Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests and complaints related to HVAC systems, providing courteous and professional service.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to address guest concerns and ensure a seamless experience throughout their stay.
Regularly inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure proper temperature control, air quality, and ventilation.
Provide guidance and support to housekeeping and other frontline staff to maintain efficient HVAC usage in guest areas, enhancing guest comfort and satisfaction.
Responsible Business
Adhere to all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and ensure compliance within the workplace.
Implement sustainable practices, promoting energy efficiency, waste reduction, and responsible resource management.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in HVAC systems to ensure continuous improvement.
What we need from you:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional technical certifications in HVAC systems preferred.
Proven experience as an HVAC technician, preferably in a hospitality or similar setting.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, and control systems.
Knowledge of energy management principles and ability to identify and implement energy-saving initiatives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to efficiently work with guests, colleagues, and external contractors/vendors.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or in a team environment.
Understanding of financial principles and budget management.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable practices in HVAC operations.
