Description
We are offering an opportunity for an Engineering Technician based in Midland, Texas. The role involves providing technical and administrative support for natural gas treatment facilities design and engineering in both conventional and renewable gas industries.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting engineers in developing and reading P IDs
• Creating and maintaining engineering BOMs
• Evaluating quotes and interfacing with engineers and buyers
• Ensuring all line numbers, cross sheet arrows, tagging, and scope/spec breaks are correct and consistent
• Incorporating design information into equipment title blocks
• Participating in walkdowns to confirm equipment aligns with P IDs prior to shipment
• Creating various engineering documents, such as PSV and control valve datasheets, cause effect matrix, utility spreadsheets, line list, paint list, shipping list, spare parts list, etc.
• Handling Document Control by ensuring correct design documents, IOMs, and vendor data books are received
• Reviewing Job Book before shipment
• Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Minimum of one year of experience in an engineering technician role within the Energy/Natural Resources industry
• Demonstrable skills in Piping, Excel Formulas, and Mechanical Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
• Proficiency in using engineering software and computer-aided design (CAD) programs
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various professionals
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and procedures
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
