System One is looking to hire an Engineering Project Manager for a direct hire position in Seattle, WA. This position provides a hybrid work model, in-office Tuesday-Thursday each week. This role will support our client’s mission-oriented efforts of developing and bringing to market Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) technologies.

As the Technical Project Manager, you will:
Develop and manage resource loaded schedules for RPS projects
Coordinate schedule and cost inputs from stakeholders, including government agencies, the U.S. Department of Energy, National Labs, and contractors
Ensure sound project management methodology is applied for control of the schedule and cost of projects
Develop, implement, and enforce baseline schedule and costs
Manage, evaluate and make recommendations to the VP of Engineering for proposed schedule and cost baseline change control requests
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring performance meets the baseline schedule and cost requirements
Support procurement activities such as procurement document development, acquisition, execution, and contract close out
Ideal Background
B.S. or higher in an engineering discipline from accredited university with > 6 years of engineering management or project management experience.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing schedules and costs in an aerospace or nuclear environment
Strong understanding of baseline change control and configuration management
Project Management Professional certification is desired
MS Project or P6 experience required
Experience managing a first of a kind or engineering design project strongly preferred
The anticipated salary band for this position is $125,000-175,000. The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and other business considerations.
