Be both a highly technical, hands-on coder and an effective people manager. Be a subject matter expert in at least one specific domain. (examples: product, product infrastructure, infrastructure, machine learning) Lead teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous or high-impact area. Work with team and cross functional partners to define and influence strategy. Work on issues of diverse scope, and drive roadmap creation and execution. Manage, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of the team with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.
