NORTHFIELD Engineering & Construction Manager - Clean Energy PositionDetail: We have an opening for an Engineering and Construction Managerto join our Engineering team at FirstLight Power. This role can be basedout of either of our beautiful offices in Northfield, MA or New Milford,CT. Reporting to the Director, Asset Management, the Engineering andConstruction Manager is responsible for leading the FirstLightengineering team. Will provide engineering and technical support forgeneration and storage assets, manage the CAPEX budget and processes,manage construction activities and assignments which include oversightof engineering work performed by contracted engineers and others withinthe engineering organization. Job Qualifications / SkillsBachelor\'s Degree in Engineering, required 10+ years\' engineeringexperience involving engineering, operation, and/or maintenance of powerfacilities 3+ years\' experience managing teams Power and/orconstruction industry experience is a significant preference Performancetesting experience Demonstrable analytical and report writing skillsPrior experience managing contractors and consultants Proven ability towork effectively with managers, supervisors, and employees understressful conditions Ability to work independently on implementing anddeveloping engineering team goals and strategies is required Excellentorganizational, prioritization, and time management skills Experiencewith FERC and NERC compliance is preferred Strong sense of integrity andability to work independently Must be proficient with MS Office Suiteand database management Strong communication and presentation skillsMust have a valid driver\'s license Key Responsibilities Include, ButAre Not Limited To: Manage engineers within the US operation group,perform engineering and technical support activities, and advise andtroubleshoot on issues related to operations facilities Coordinateperformance testing and reliability engineering activities Work with theoperations personnel to develop and prioritize CAPEX and majormaintenance short term and long term budgets and support Work with thedevelopment team to support project construction estimates Create and orreview bid packages (RFPs) Participate in the selection of engineeringconsultants/contractors and manage their work Manage CAPEX records andperiodic reporting for operations and development projects Coordinateclosely with and support the Manager, Regulatory Compliance, the ChiefDam Safety Engineer, and the Senior Manager, Project Development,Business Development Review technical materials provided by others tosupport due diligence on assets considered for acquisition Develop andmaintain technical libraries Represent the company in public andprofessional organizations Carries out other duties and responsibilitiesas assigned Complies with all FirstLight policies and procedures
