Create new drawings from sketches, photos,markups, site visits, personnel knowledge, and discussions with engineerand field personnel. Check drawing for accuracy. Provide input toengineer on design when needed. Create material lists. Revise ExistingWE Drawings Revise existing drawings from sketches, photos, markups,site visits, personnel knowledge, and discussions with engineer andfield personnel. Identify and revise related existing drawings. Ensuredrawing accuracy and integrity. Interpret and apply designspecifications. Gather Information & On-Site Drafting Support Assistcustomer in layout and design of equipment and structures. Visit worksites, inspect equipment to verify existing information or to provideinformation to update and/or create drawings. Make sketches when in thefield. Act as on-site \"single point of contact\" for drafting services.Check layouts against company standards. Contact manufacturers, vendors,and suppliers for information. Maintain Drawing Record System Assignsystem-based alpha/numeric codes to new drawings. Re-code existingdrawings. Assign CGS file and microfilm numbers. Update ProjectWisesystem. Prepare print transmittals and reproduction requests forprinting, microfilming, and distribution of drawings. MiscellaneousOrder and maintain drafting equipment and supplies. Estimating resourcesand time to do a job. Provide work direction and training to otherdrafters and contractors. Provide graphic services as requested. ProjectManagement Work on a project team to coordinate drafting concerns.Prioritize and estimate project tasks. Provide feedback to team leaderand other team members. Cross-checking team members\' work. Perform roleof project team leader. Minimum Experience Required Applicant must haveone semester of algebra (or related technical math/college mathematics)and one semester of geometry (or related technical math level II/collegemathematics level II) at the vocational or college levelORa two-yeardegree in either Electrical engineering, Civil engineering, orArchitectural engineering. Applicant must also have one of thefollowing: two years of current CAD drafting experience within the lastfive yearsORone year of CAD drafting coursework at the vocational orcollege level plus one year of current CAD drafting experience withinthe last five years.
