JOB REQUIREMENTS: Company Generac Power Systems Name Staff Engineer -Product Reliability (Clean Energy) Req # 64080 Employment Type FullTime Shift 1st This experienced engineer will be directly involved inoverall engineering evaluation of our Energy Technology products withspecialized focus on roof top module level power electronics (MLPE)products and its interactions with energy storage devices. This engineerwill be responsible for setting reliability goals, reviewing Design forReliability (DFA), and monitoring and executing reliabilitydemonstration tests. This person is expected to drive component andsystem level risk assessment and develop and monitor methodologies toevaluate design robustness and reliability. This position will report tothe Engineering Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Drivethe engineering teams to meet Generac\'s high product performance andreliability standards through DfR reviews, suggestions and guidance.Develop design verification and validation plans and report (DVP&Rs) forreliability assessment of Generac Clean Energy products at componentand/or system level. Gain a deep understanding of the operatingenvironment and performance requirements for our Clean Energy products.Create detailed procedures and reports documenting all findings andconclusions. Provide input during Risk Assessments, FMEA/DFMEAs, andDesign Reviews. Ensure that test plans address requirements in allapplicable standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.) Assist test development team withtest setups and work with product development team to ensurefunctionality coverage during testing and its monitoring. Support rootcause analysis and resolution of issues found during reliability tests.Monitor and determine status of reliability demonstration tests andreport out to the leadership. Manage third party resources (externallabs, consultants, etc.) to fulfill delegated work packages includingstatement of work development, scope management, commercial agreements,and Engineering reports. Support product development plans (schedule,product cost, meeting design inputs). Mentor and teach less experiencedengineers. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor ofScience Degree in Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, orrelated discipline. 6 + years of relevant work experience that isaligned with the \"Essential Duties and Responsibilities capturedabove\". Preferred Qualifications: Master\'s degree in Electronics, orrelated discipline. Experience developing and/or validating powerelectronic products.
