48826BRReq No.:48826BRJob Description and Qualifications:This job holder will require senior level of engineering and design knowledge that is able to perform the required piping design responsibilities and provide proper judgment in reviewing dedicated design office or third parties’ piping design. The job holder will be also expected to provide layout design and piping related estimation for bidding activities. The job holder will report to functional manager of piping and layout, this function is a complex and globalized hub to support engineering and design activities across bidding and project execution.

　　PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

　　Manage and perform various aspects of piping design including piping arrangement drawing, Isometric drawing, piping list, BOM preparation, piping support drawing, piping insulation standard etc. Coordinate and communicate technical issues among various offices including US, UK, India, and Shanghai office. Review and feedback piping basic and detail design drawing and spec. Understanding AP engineering piping standard, spec and international industry piping engineering code and local code Support project proposal estimation, project execution, commissioning and start up Support on site piping construction for technical issues and provide resolution suggestion Maintain and develop piping design work process, ensure it is implemented appropriately. Acts as a consultant in piping/equipment arrangement engineering areas of expertise. Coach junior piping designers. Determine design strategy, consult on engineering codes and principles. Participate in project execution and commercial strategies on multiple projects. Establish project piping design plan and schedule, report design status and issues, ensure the schedule be met with good quality deliverables. Leads in problem solving on significant issues Contributes to the development of AP piping related standards and procedures. Work closely with proposal management team to support new bidding opportunities timely and efficiently

　　JOB REQUIREMENTS

　　Experience in Piping Engineering for Gas, Chemical or Petrochemical, related industry min。 10 years with design institute or engineering service company background BS degree in chemical process/ mechanical engineering Good English skills Good personality as a professional engineer Good communication and coordination skills Be able to travel to site as required. Skillful in piping design tools, including Smart Plant 3D, MicroStation, Smart Sketch, Smart Plant Review. Well understand local and international piping design standards and codes. Well understand piping design, check and approval procedure as well as interfaces with other functions. Good sense on project design scheduling and cost. Good sense on piping stress analysis and civil/structural requirements
