  Our long-term client relationship with NASA, has led to a need for an Engineer supporting the integrated testing and facilities (ITF) team on the Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP).

  The Engineer will:

  Help coordinate integrated testing activities on behalf of EHP

  Tests will be coordinated between spacesuits, rovers, and other vehicles involved in future Artemis campaigns to the lunar surface. Test planning and activities will span across multiple projects, programs, and hardware providers

  Review technical interfaces, test objectives, and test designs, and understand pass/fail requirements

  Develop understanding of assigned systems, operations, and performance requirements, including at the integrated level

  Help plan and manage the test schedules, reduce risks, and identify gaps

  Perform other duties as required

  Requisition Qualifications:

  This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.

  Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering with experience in the field or in a related area

  Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines. Must be able to present to all levels of management to both internal and external customers​

  Requisition Preferences:

  ​Experience with JSC test facilities, processes, and procedures

  Experience with spacesuits, life support systems and/or avionics systems

  Experience with integration and testing

  Project technical management experience including planning, scheduling, and risk reduction.

  Essential Functions

  Work Environment

  Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

  Physical Requirements

  Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

  Equipment and Machines

  Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

  Attendance

  Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

  Other Essential Functions

  Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
