Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer (Tech Tooling) with expertise in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data environments. You will be responsible for the Central Response Library tech/tool and will play a key role in architecting and engineering data correlations between multiple areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, query optimization, and database design, enabling efficient data retrieval, analysis, and insights generation.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and maintain the Central Response Library tech/tool for effective data management.

Design, build, and optimize large-scale data environments for efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.

Create scalable and normalized database structures while optimizing query performance.

Ingest, transform, and clean large datasets to ensure high-quality, usable data.

Develop and implement indexing strategies, partitioning, and caching techniques for large-scale data requests.

Optimize query performance and data storage to support business intelligence and analytics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data architecture aligns with business requirements.

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering and tooling.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience in data engineering, including designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data environments.

Strong expertise in database architecture, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and cleaning of large datasets.

Proficiency in data storage and retrieval optimization techniques, including indexing, partitioning, and caching.

Familiarity with data architectures that support efficient analytics and business intelligence.

Strong programming skills in SQL and Python (or similar languages).

Experience with cloud-based platforms and data engineering tools.

Ability to work with cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable data solutions.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle large-scale data challenges.
