Our client, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the U.S., is looking for a Engineer - Automation/Instrumentation - II which is located at Ambler, PA. The client is seeking a self-motivated Engineer with expertise in laboratory automation, liquid handling software, and regulatory compliance, to provide critical support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a clinical research environment.
Job Title: Engineer - Automation/Instrumentation - II

Pay Rate: $35/hr.
About the Role:
Automation Support:
Provide expertise in liquid handling and automation integration, including programming for various systems.
Develop quality control procedures to ensure precise liquid handling.
Utilize vendor support for equipment maintenance and service to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and perform in-house repairs on instruments with a strong mechanical inclination.
LIMS Management:
Maintain accurate records in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for screening and sample management.
Demonstrate proficiency with computer database systems supporting screening and sample management operations.
Project Support:
Define project requirements and contribute to the creation and execution of Installation and Operational Qualification documents.
Coordinate installation requirements with safety and facilities teams.
Process Optimization:
Continuously seek to improve processes, systems, and overall client satisfaction.
Provide direction and information to vendors, suppliers, facilities staff, and service providers to ensure efficient coordination and execution of work.
Client Interface:
Act as an interface between the client and suppliers.
Collaborate with scientific staff to solve problems and address unique situations with professionalism.
Ensure appropriate follow-up with scientific staff to meet service level agreements and objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Knowledge of automation and engineering competency and experience in the areas of integration, robotics, liquid handling, software and electro-mechanical solutions, and must be able to apply this understanding to continuously improve the organization's technical competency and output.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with site leaders, corporate management, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication of plans and issues.
familiarity with Laboratory Automation
Liquid handling softwares
Writing SOP's, Instrumentation validation.
Ability to do in-house repairs on instruments/troubleshooting (mechanical inclination) helpful.
