About Engineer Associate, gReach Program for People with Disabilities

  This role is exclusively for people who have a Japanese government-issued disability certificate.

  Minimum qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  Experience with programming in C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

  Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently.

  Preferred qualifications:

  Understanding of common data structures and algorithms.

  Ability to communicate in English fluently.

  The gReach Engineer Associate program is a 12-months role designed to jumpstart your career and in software engineering at Google or beyond. Associates will get an opportunity to work on complex computer science solutions, develop scalable, distributed software systems, and also collaborate on multitudes of smaller projects that have universal appeal.

  As an Engineer Associate, you will work on projects critical to Google’s needs. You will design, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions as you grow and evolve during your gReach associateship.

  Work on a technical project to build solutions and gain exposure to scale and complexity.

  Develop technical skills, build confidence in abilities, and prepare for a career in computer science.

  Create and support a productive and innovative team, including working with peers, managers, and teams.

  Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.

  Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to effectively solve real-world problems.
