About Head of Specialist Architects, Public Sector

  Minimum qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  5 years of experience leading a technical team in a cloud computing environment, or in a similar customer facing role (e.g., within a professional services, solutions architect or systems engineering team).

  Preferred qualifications:

  Master's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field.

  Experience working with US Public Sector institutions.

  Understanding of the broader cloud marketplace and the differentiators in offerings.

  Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.

  Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to deliver technical presentations.

  As the Head of Specialist Architects, you will lead a team of specialist architects to engage with prospects, understand and assess customer requirements, prepare and present demonstrations of Google’s Cloud products and services, guide the customer through implementation and production deployment, and address and overcome technical objections that arise throughout the business process. With technical and organizational skills, you have the ability to manage a diverse collection of engineering professionals. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally with our Product, Support, Engineering, and Business teams.

  The US base salary range for this full-time position is $181,000-$265,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   Lead a team of specialist architects providing deep, technical expertise across AI/ML, Data, Analytics, Networking, Infrastructure and Application Modernization focused on US Public Sector customers.

  Partner with Google Public Sector sales teams to meet quarterly and annual bookings objectives.

  Recruit talent and coach the team with a focus on providing actionable, forthright feedback to produce the next generation of leadership for Google Cloud. Create and drive innovative programs.

  Lead your team to provide demonstrations of Google Cloud technologies aligned to customer business needs, as well as thought leadership at scale via industry events and publications.

  Participate directly in key agreements and accounts within the region. Work directly with customers to ensure optimized use of Google Cloud. Create activities and develop strategies to resolve technical impediments.
