Position Summary
The Reliability & Maintenance Engineer is responsible for advanced line support to maintain production performance, site capital project management, support engineering in major initiatives and new product development, and lead Reliability & Maintenance strategy and education for the division. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work closely with shop operators, maintenance technicians, Division support services, and Plant and Corporate Leadership. This is a hands on position and is a 80/20 split between Shop Floor and Office responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Provides Safety Leadership to site
Lead reliability, technical, and engineering support for maintenance and production employees to identify and implement sustainable solutions to meet safety, quality, and production objectives
Develop and implement site predictive/preventative engineering policies
Develop reliability program, plan execution, KPI’s, tracking and reporting for all equipment and systems, ensuring all planned routines are correctly specified and critical spares are assessed to allow effective execution of program tasks
Lead root cause analysis and implementation of long-term solutions to prevent recurrences, manage KPI’s including run hours, MTBF, and cost to repair
Supply reliability status monthly filings, analyze trends and develop projects to address the issues of concern, supporting continuous, sustainable improvement
Lead development and execution of projects as PM, Project Engineer, Subject Matter Expert
Focus on equipment/systems upgrades in safety, quality, cost reductions, productivity
Full Scope Management / Reporting- Development, Justification, Approval, Design, Procurement, Construction, Commission, Start-up, Training, Closure
Provide discipline support to cross functional teams
Major division and corporate projects
New Product Initiatives/Introductions
Leadership for the Division
Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the company
Mentor, development, and training of operator, maintenance, skill sets
Complete administrative responsibilities including meetings, reports, goals, training, budgets, financials, and expenses to targets and expectations
Job requires bias for action, quick learning, self-motivation, and interpersonal and project management skills
Ability to design processes and find solutions to process problems
Utilize lean manufacturing principals and processes to maximize efficiency
Coordinate plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities
Exhibits strong interpersonal skills under stress
Retain current working knowledges of codes and practices
Assessment and advanced troubleshooting of all manufacturing equipment and lines
Design and implementation of in-house process improvements in equipment and procedures
Prepare justification, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of capital contracts
Support the specific development, design review and validation of purchased equipment

Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment
Direct, review, and approve product design and changes
Develop and lead reliability program education, assessment, mentoring, and strategy for the site
What we are looking for
Bachelors in Engineering
5 years experience in manufacturing environment and maintenance management
SAP experience
Microsoft Office Suite, including Project
CMMS implementation and execution
Project Management experience; reliability, project design, development, and execution
Technical personnel mentoring and development
Basic read/create mechanical, hydraulic, electrical schematics
Basic understanding of mechanical design and fabrication
Reliability Practice and tool experience (PdM. PPM, RCM)
Safe work practices (NEC, OSHA, Arc Flash, Short Circuit, LOTO, Guarding, Hot Work, Safe Work)
Planning, execution, monitoring, reporting of PM, CM, and turnaround activities
What we prefer
