Provide technical leadership in designing, developing, implementing and analyzing product testing and analysis for WiFi architecture on Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) products; use WiFi protocols including 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, and 802.11be; curate tests and lab setups to model WiFi devices; conduct validation tests on WiFi architecture using protocol analysis, traffic generation tools, including Ixia Veriwave and iPerf, WiFi test hardware, including Candela and Litepoint, and WiFi test software, including Octoscope chambers; work with 3GPP technical specifications for cellular networks; optimize WiFi radio and antenna parameters to elevate the customer experience and develop metrics to show improvement with considerations for converging with evolved packet core architecture; build setups to mimic real world environmental conditions; research traffic models and industry trends to provide relevant data for laboratory conditions; assist in various project teams, developing test strategies, and designing best practices; deploy manual and automation solutions to the fast-paced DevOps paradigm, quickly tailoring solutions to help identify, reproduce, and triage lab and field defects; act as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment; lead teams or projects and share expertise; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.
*REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience using the 802.11ac WiFi protocol; curating tests and lab setups to model WiFi devices; and conducting validation tests on WiFi architecture using protocol analysis and traffic generation tools; and of which three (3) years include using the 802.11n, 802.11ax, and 802.11be WiFi protocols; and working with 3GPP technical specifications for cellular networks.
