About Employment Attorney

Description We are offering an engaging opportunity in the services sector, based in San Jose, California. We are seeking an Employment Attorney to join our team. In this role, you will be handling various aspects of labor law and employment litigation, managing cases independently, and providing counsel on wage and hour laws among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage cases from inception to conclusion with minimal supervision

• Lead counsel on employment litigation cases

• Conduct depositions and handle hearings effectively

• Provide counsel to clients on various aspects of wage and hour laws

• Litigate wage and hour cases, class action cases, as well as employment discrimination and wrongful termination matters in California state and federal courts

• Respond to administrative charges effectively

• Familiarize with wage laws, leave, and compliance matters (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FLSA and Ca Labor Codes)

• Develop policies and conduct compliance training

• Manage pre-litigation disputes efficiently

• Draft motions and other legal documents as required. Requirements • Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Should be licensed to practice law in the state.

• Proven experience as an Employment Attorney in the Services industry is necessary.

• Extensive knowledge of employment law is essential.

• Must have experience in employment litigation.

• Familiarity with conducting depositions is required.

• Ability to draft motions effectively is a must.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

• Should be able to handle multiple cases with minimal supervision.

• Must possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes.

• High level of confidentiality is required.

• Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.

• Should have a high degree of ethics and integrity.
