  Position Summary

  The Energy Analyst/Back Office Coordinator is responsible for regulatory reporting, invoicing and settlements, data management and tracking for the North American Energy desk. The North American Energy Desk covers the energy risk management for all BUs with ADM, including Carbohydrate Solutions, Oilseeds, and Nutrition.

  Job Responsibilities

  Oversee, manage, and make the necessary regulatory filings on behalf the North American Energy Desk.

  Ensure the billings and settlements for the North American Energy Desk are performed accurately and timely and that appropriate records are maintained.

  Develop and maintain working knowledge of the various payment systems, including APGO, Coupa, JDE, Maximo, and ENEL.

  Track and manage the various energy data sets for the team, including the coal and ash volumes and the natural gas and power estimates for plants, power plant and utility reconciliations.

  Build and maintain relationships with all parties involved in the energy supply process, including: the suppliers, the plants, accounting and GBS, the traders and Carbohydrates management

  Troubleshoot and problem solve issues that arise

  Perform ad hoc analysis and data requests

  Become the subject matter expert of all business processes for natural gas, coal, and power

  Knowledge & Skills

  University degree in agriculture or business (i.e. economics, finance, accounting) supplemented with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in back office, settlement, reporting, invoicing, and/or data entry.

  Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  Demonstrated capacity to excel within high risk, fast paced work environment.

  Demonstrated ability to reconcile and solve complex problems with attention to detail.

  Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, vendors, counterparties and internal colleagues.

  Positive attitude and ability to work with a team; adaptability.

  Computer competent, with working knowledge of database and word processing software applications within a windows based operating environment, while being above average in proficiency in Excel.
