Description:

　　The Ann Arbor Lab Engineer performs facility checks/maintenance, vehicle testing and documentation required to ensure Emissions Compliance to government regulations, enabling the sale of Honda and Acura vehicles.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Ensure Equipment Checks / Maintenance / Troubleshooting completed to ensure compliance with federal test procedures

　　Prepare and conduct official and in-house tailpipe and evaporative emissions testing for certification, durability, and IUVP (In-Use Verification Program) in Denver and Ann Arbor accurately and on-schedule.

　　Complete Documentation (Test Reports, etc.) accurately and on-time.

　　Daily Tasks:

　　Ensure equipment & facility checks are done and everything is ready for testing

　　Prepare vehicle for testing, install & drive on chassis dyno or in SHED

　　Collect and summarize results

　　Skills:

　　Emissions, troubleshooting, emissions test, chassis, test equipment

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Must Haves:

　　2+ years of hands-on experience in automobile industry with experience in:

　　Vehicle maintenance / troubleshooting / repair: catalytic converter and exhaust system modification and replacement, valve clearance check/adjustment, emissions system diagnostics, OBD diagnostics, fuel system inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, vehicle electrical system diagnostics and repair

　　Basic Shop Skills: soldering, welding (desirable), general tools including saw, air tools, ...etc.

　　MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency

　　Would Be Nice:

　　Chassis Dyno Testing Experience

　　Emissions Testing Experience

　　Experience with data-loggers

　　Welding experience
