　　Elementary School Principal Purpose: The ideal candidate providesleadership, management, and supervisory skills that promote learning foreach student. They lead others and stand for the ideas and values thathelp develop lifelong learners and future leaders within their District.The principal works closely with students, parents/guardians, building,and district staff to accomplish these tasks.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Work closely with the staff and administration of USD 234.

　　Be a positive representative of the school district throughout thecommunity.

　　Promote the success of every student by advocating, nurturing andsustaining a school culture and instructional program dedicated tostudent learning and staff professional growth.

　　Promote the success of every student by ensuring management of theorganization, operation, and resources for a safe, efficient, andeffective learning environment.

　　Comply with all district policies, rules and regulations.

　　Communicate openly and effectively with students, community, staff andadministration.

　　Encourage the professional growth of teachers through evaluations, andassistance they may need.

　　Administer district policies in the operation of the school.

　　Maintain school records and file necessary reports.

　　Plan and organize the school day and year to provide for efficientoperation of the school.

　　Work cooperatively with peers in sharing ideas, techniques andprocedures for improvement of the learning environment.

　　Perform any duties as may from time to time be requested by theSuperintendent and/or Board of Education.
