We are seeking a talented Electronics Design Engineer for a direct hire position in Fort Worth, TX.
As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, software system integration, and testing of embedded controllers and electronic components for avionics systems under the NEXSYS and LYNK product lines, along with support for VIVISUN illuminated pushbutton switches.
Essential Functions:
Design electronic circuits from the ground up, with a focus on Embedded electronics, Microcontrollers/Processors, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, and other Military Specifications.
Lead design reviews to assess progress against design requirements.
Create detailed drawings, including Electrical Schematics, and manage Printed Circuit Board layouts.
Employ circuit simulators (e.g., LTSPICE, PSPICE) for design modeling.
Support or implement systems using Assembler, C, C++, and LabVIEW for test systems.
Generate and participate in the creation of essential product design documentation, including Design, Drawings, Design Specifications, Verification and Qualification Plans, Test Reports, and Engineering Change Notices.
Take responsibility for new product development and ongoing product support.
Marginal Functions:
Collaborate with other members of the design team, including Software and Mechanical Design engineers.Qualifications for Hire:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in analog circuit design, simulation, and troubleshooting, with expertise in Embedded electronics and Microcontrollers/Processors.
Proficiency in using test equipment and instruments like Oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, DC power supplies, and electronic loads.
Knowledge of test automation using LabVIEW and TestStand to develop Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
Experience with design modeling or simulation using Spice, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
Exceptional communication and listening skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to understand and explain technical documentation and specifications.
Strong technical knowledge of Ethernet, RS232, RS485, CAN, and ARINC 429.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and a strong sense of responsibility.
Successful completion of a background check and drug test.
Qualifications that are a plus:
Experience or strong familiarity with commercial D0-278C/C, DO-254, DO-160, and military MIL-STD-461 design and test standards.
Understanding of Design Assurance (DAL) A, B, or C Qualification process under DO-178 and DO-254.
Proficiency in resolving product design issues to meet EMI/EMC requirements.
Experience in Avionics or Automotive Electronics Design.
