Precise Systems is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Electronic Technician to join our team in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following responsibilities and duties and possess the following credentials for the job.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform test operations utilizing test methods and or written or verbal instructions as required.
Obtain necessary reference documentation as required to perform testing e.g. (Test Methods, Specification Drawings, Schematics).
Set up test equipment as required to perform all necessary tests and or troubleshooting of equipment.
May make adjustments and remove components as required for fault isolation.
Operate automated test systems utilizing test software.
Identifies and resolves equipment malfunctions, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance and must be capable of reading blueprints, schematics, and engineering instructions of the assembly of electronic units.
Assist in writing reports and recording data as it relates to testing techniques, laboratory equipment and specifications.
Assembling electrical and electronic systems and prototypes.
Building, calibrating, and repairing electrical instruments or testing equipment.
Inspecting drawings and designs for quality control, report findings, and make recommendations to the lead engineer.
Performing all manners of depot maintenance to specified Electronic Systems.
Helping to build prototypes from rough sketches or plans, under the engineers’ direction.
Assembling, testing, and maintaining circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics.
Adjusting and replacing defective circuitry and electronic components.
Must be able to lift over 20lbs.
Desired Education:
High School Diploma or Vocational Degree or GED Certification.Desired Experience:
5 or more years’ experience with RF/Electronic Warfare systems troubleshooting, repairing, testing of CCA's and assemblies.
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
Automate Test Equipment experience.
Experience with diagnostic tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fully competent to perform a variety of common technician level tasks (ex. Cable assembly, soldering, electro-much assembly, etc.). Demonstrate originality and innovation in some of the specialized tasks assigned. Demonstrates in-depth understanding of production and engineering level documentation (drawings, schematics, BOMs, test procedures etc.).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
