SUMMARY
The Electronics Equipment Technician II provides technical support on adaily basis in a training or functional environment including, but notlimited to, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, systeminstallation, removal and configuration, troubleshooting, reportinginventory and quality management system support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Otherduties may be assigned.

Applies comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems byinterpreting manufacturers\' manuals or similar documents.
Perform tasks to include a wide array of complex and varying assignmentsand understand new technologies and methods that require the applicationof technical knowledge.
Applies judgement to the planning work sequence and in selecting toolsand testing instruments, as well as provide familiarity with theinterrelationships of circuits.
Performs testing utilizing Oscilloscopes, Digital volt/ohm meters, andother test equipment.
Performs fact finding and analysis, as required, to address a singleactivity or a routine problem, and apply established procedures wherethe nature of the system, feasibility, computer equipment, operatingsystem and programming language have been decided.
Conducts research on routine user problems and solve them by modifyingthe existing system when the solutions follow clear precedents.
Assists higher level technicians and provide guidance to lower leveltechnicians.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available andreceptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, jobdescription and supervisor\'s instruction in such a way as to maximizepersonal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderlycondition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report anyunsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor andhuman resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as thebest of own ability.
Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicablerules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code ofFederal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselvesand the company as a whole. Fosters an environment in which they willreport any violations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy,FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance,conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of agovernment contract.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or General Education degree (GED) and a minimumthree (3) years relevant experience; or a Associates degree and aminimum of two (2) years or relevant experience. Bachelor\'s and aminimum of one (1) years or relevant experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGRISTRATION
This position requires possession of or the ability to obtain andmaintain a Public Trust security clearance
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Possess a high degree of electronic knowledge.
Ele tronic training and experience.
Computer networking, Strong computer skills .
Automation: Computer software, hardware, and networking systemtraining and experience utilizing computer operating systems such asSolaris, AIX, Linux, Unix, and Windows. NAS Automation systems include:Enroute Automation System (EAS), Enroute Communications Gateway (ECG),Display System Replacement (DSR), and Tower Simulation System (TSS).Terminal systems include, Standard Terminal Automation ReplacementSystem (STARS), STARS Elite, Runway Status Lights (RWSL), Fiber Optics.
This position requires knowledge and experience performing hardwaremaintenance, including replacing and/or repairing hard drives,motherboards, video cards, RAM, CPU, monitors, power supplies, networkcards, printers, and other peripherals.
Evening shift may be required in support of the FAA Academy trainingenvironment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability toaccurately log incident tickets. Ability to write routine reports andcorrespondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customersor employees of organization.\<
