GE Appliances’ Principal Area Sales Manager is responsible for all sales activities with the New England Appliance Group (NEAG) which is a member of the NECO Alliance. This distributor has members from across New England and this candidate is expected to live in the area. The P4 ASM will manage front-end to back-end sales experience from executing merchandising plans, sales training, and pricing/promotional strategies, managing distribution and fulfillment and regularly meeting with buyer/ merchandising team. This position will require active communication with GE Appliance leadership, as well as the ASM’s (peers) that call on the individual customers

How You'll Create Possibilities
Responsibilities will include :
The position is in or around the Greater Boston Mass.
Selling and promoting appliances to new and existing appliance retail customers, to include national accounts and independent dealers.
Identifying new business opportunities and developing marketing strategies to grow the territory.
Executing and delivering sales and margin operating plan.
Developing and executing merchandising/promotional strategies and programming within each account to drive sell-through and account profitability.
Quantitative sales expertise, ability to run ROI reports, calculate margin and delta scenarios.
Preparing presentations and developing sales materials to lead product sales training for customers.
Creating a variety of status reports including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
Resolving customer issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Traveling to customers and with ASM’s within territory.

What You'll Bring to Our Team
REQUIRED:
Minimum of seven (7) years sales experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Work from home office
PREFERRED:
Experience in developing, organizing, and implementing sales plans.
Proven record of building relationships with customers, management, and peers to drive results.
Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and negotiation skills.
Proficiency using Excel and specifically tools like “VLOOKUP”.
Mastery of GEA’s Oracle system including order management processes
Proven record of being a self-starter working proactively and independently and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability and willingness to travel to current and potential customers within assigned territory.
Previous GE Appliances sales experience and/or appliance/retail sales experience.
Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion technique
