Our location in Aurora, CO has an opening for an Electro-MechanicalMaintenance Technician.
Your Day-to-Day-Diagnose, repair, and replace electrical components for numerous types ofmanufacturing equipment, including variable speed motors, VFDS,Micromaster drives, encoders, contractors, relays, and relatedsoftware program-Electrical problem-solving with control wiring and board repairs as neededand able to use all electrical measurement devices and mechanic tools.-Read and interpret equipment operation and parts manuals, electricalschematics, and can perform computer tasks related to work.-Day to day troubleshooting, repair, and installation of low and highvoltage (single, three phase) industrial electromechanical and controlsystems for utility and production equipment-Utilize the continuous improvement mindset and tools to actively participatein identifying and correcting opportunities, improving processes includingparticipation in the creation and documentation of Standard OperatingProcedures and Work Instructions, the creation and maintenance ofpreventative maintenance standards, the writing of One Point Lessons, andparticipation in continuous improvement methodology events. Interface andcommunicate with equipment operators and maintenance staff to ascertainproblems with equipment-Ability to install, wire and maintain relays, photo-eyes, limitswitches, proximity switches, solenoid valves, motors, starters,VFDs, PLC I/O modules, analog control devices, safetycircuits.Including layout circuits, install of fixtures, ability to bend and ruconduit, install motors and other electrical devices and components.-Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goalof continually reducing unscheduled downtime.-Work independently in finding, troubleshooting, and repairing problems-Be familiar with PLC s and Control circuits and able to identify I/Opoints on schematics and locate the associated I/O point on the PLC.Preference with knowledge of AB/Omron Systems-Assist with system startups and operational checkouts on systems includingconfiguration, wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing-Completes preventative maintenance and other reliability tasks, assist indiagnostics, repairs and rebuilds of machines, partner with engineering orothers on non-routine repairs and defect handling solutions-Must be willing to Train new and junior employees within the department.-Able to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions.-Able to read, understand and follow documents such as safety policies,Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Quality Systems SQF/HAACP, GoodManufacturing Practices (GMP) and general instructions.-Performs other duties and special projects as directed by supervision-Ability to understand mechanized equipment as well as the dangers associatedwith them-Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings whichprovides a positive influence and ability to work in Team Environment-Document all Maintenance work activity within CMMS Emaint System.
What You Bring to the Team-Be able to read, interpret, and modify electrical prints and schematicsand document all self-created changes-Complete understanding of Plant electrical systems, including DC Voltageand AC Voltage 24 V to 480 V and proficiency in electrical installations withconduit and wiring practices-Experience using sensing and control devices-Overall responsibility for ensuring safety of the work place, by seeingthat appropriate practices are established in place and enforced-Support, follow, and support the Lock-Out/Tag-Out program-Working knowledge of PLCs, HVAC systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems-Must provide own basic tools. Specialty tools will be available to useprovided by the Company-Must have reliable transportation-3 to 5 year industrial electrical/programming experience or two-yeartechnical degree preferred Must be able to read, write and speak English,preferred if can read, write and speak English and Spanish.-Must be able to successfully complete HACCP Certification-PLC programming required; Multiple platforms such as Siemens, Omron,Allen Bradley Control Logix, HMI, and Servo Drive programming andtroubleshooting experience preferred.-Strong computer skills required; Microsoft Office Excel proficiency as wellas Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience preferred.-Mechanical troubleshooting experience in baking/packaging and/or highlyautomated continuous process environment preferred.-Ability to perform mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearingand chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, electrical lube routes.-Ability to work off shifts (afternoons and midnights) and overtime asnecessary.
