Job Duties/Scope Of WorkAll-around journeyman performing all types of electrical work. This position will be responsible for inspection, testing, and maintenance of Hanford site fire systems including fire alarm control units, RFAR systems, and general electrical maintenance.Basic Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED.- Journeyman level qualifications required via one of the following criteria:1. Possession of general journeyman level license.2. Completed 8,000 hour documented electrical on the job training, under the supervision of a journey level electrician in light industrial, commercial, or construction and a minimum of 2,150 hours of classroom training.3. Verified electrical experience (e.g., military, or other State license) may be substituted for a portion of the 8,000 document hours and 2,150 hours of classroom training.- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and heavy lifting (50lbs).- Work from elevated platforms and scaffolding.- Have or be able to obtain and maintain Radiation Worker II and Mask Fit qualifications.- Ability to work well with others and be part of an experienced team.Desired Qualifications- Previous experience working on Fire Alarm Control Units.- Perform radiation zone work and be mask qualified.- Experience maintaining or installing fire systems.Compensation & BenefitsHourly Rate: $53.197HMIS offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical/dental/vision, short-and long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and paid time off.
