Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children is seeking a dedicated and skilled electrician to work closely with the Facilities department. This individual will be responsible for performing all necessary activities to properly design, inspect, repair, maintain, install, and remove electrical, TV cabling, alarm, and CCTV system. The selected candidate will work closely with hospital employees and contractors to ensure the operation, safety, and regulatory compliance of all systems. /_Please Note:_/ This is a full-time, 40 hour position. The schedule for this position is 7:00 AM-3:30 PM. Monday through Friday. The days off will be Saturday and Sunday. /_Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_/ * Performs all duties necessary for the planning, design, installation, modification, repair, and removal of electrical, TV cabling, alarm and CCTV systems. * Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials--determines the need for, prices, orders, stores, inventories, distributes and documents the use of stock and special-order parts and materials. * Operates, maintains, and secures the operation of all departmental/ hospital equipment. * Works with employees, contractors, consultants, vendors, and others designated by the administration of the hospital and/or arc necessary to successfully perform the duties described within this document. * Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with others including but not limited to other staff members and employees who arc requesting maintenance services; visitors, patients, and their families; and other maintenance personnel. * Ensure hospital compliance with all related codes, regulations, and standards. * Develops and maintains a knowledge of, complies with, enforces, and trains other hospital employees as needed/assigned on appropriate hospital electrical policies, procedures, practices, and directives. * Attends all assigned meetings, training, and other gatherings/events. * Maintains a safe work environment. * Performs all other duties related to the success completion of requests, orders, job duties and directives approved by the hospital's administration or their designee. /_Required Qualifications_:/ * Knowledge of and ability to interpret all codes, regulations and standards related to the planning, design, installation, modification, repair, and removal of electrical, TV cabling, alarm and CCTV related systems. * Ability to lift and carry heavy objects. * Ability to climb and work from ladders and scaffolds. * Manual dexterity * Ability to follow and issue written and verbal instructions. /_Preferred Qualifications_:/ * Knowledge of hospital related codes, regulations, policies, procedures, and directives * Knowledge of hospital systems and components as they relate to contracts and agreements * Ability to read and interpret documents such as electrical plans, schematics, drawings, etc. /*Agency Mission:*/ Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children (PRHC) located in Canton, MA is a Joint Commission Accredited, 90 bed pediatric hospital predominately serving children and young adults (ages 8–22) operated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
