Description:

　　We are seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to support testing and verification of electrical power systems for renewable battery storage systems. These systems connect to devices such as renewable power windmills, dams, and nuclear power systems to capture and store energy generated from those systems. Responsibilities: • Validate and test battery storage systems, that to include establishing test plan, design test setup, define and size equipment needed such as inverters, breakers, fuses, relays surge arrestors, develop control and protection scheme, and calculate Auxiliary load needed. • Design electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and application/logic functional block diagrams in AutoCAD Electrical • Develop cable schedules for AC and DC application, including ampacity calculation, and cable/termination selection • Evaluate product and system designs and configurations for compliance to relevant industry standards • Configure and test PLC systems • Develop test plans for component and execute them in lab environment and on onsite ensuring compliance to functional and QA requirements • Participate in field testing and commissioning activities by developing test plans and collaborating with the field engineering team to execute and troubleshoot as needed • Develop testing documentation such as test plan, test schedule, schematic, Bill of Material, test procedure, and test report.

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Required Experience: • BS EE degree required; graduate degree preferred • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience focusing on designing and testing of high voltage power systems (example technologies: transformers, radars, electrical power plants, solar components, etc) • Able to read electrical schematics (AutoCAD) • Experience working in lab environment Preferred Experience: • Ability to design electrical circuits for up to 1000 Volt AC and 1500 Volt DC ensuring compliance to common design standard • Experience with siemens and B&R automation PLC is a plus • Experience designing and configuring Energy Storage Systems • Working knowledge of industrial control philosophies and communication protocols
