Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a highly skilled Fixed Asset Accountant for a contract role in the Salt Lake Metro area. This role will require the first few weeks 100% on-site and will shift to a hybrid model (3 days on-site).

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and directing all aspects of capital projects and fixed asset activities in the SAP system, ensuring effective coordination and implementation.

• Actively tracking expenses related to the construction in progress, ensuring costs are accurately coded to the relevant projects and budgetary guidelines are strictly followed.

• Monitoring all material movements and recording detailed and timely journal entries for asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation, maintaining financial accuracy.

• Collaborating effectively with project managers to ensure all project-related expenses - including labor, materials, and other costs are fully accounted for in a timely and accurate manner.

• Performing comprehensive ROI analysis for assets placed in service, providing insightful reports and recommendations to aid strategic decision-making.

• Managing all aspects of lease accounting, including meticulously updating lease schedules and recording related journal entries, to ensure compliance with the relevant accounting standards.

• Reviewing and interpreting Profit Loss (P L) statements and assisting in the in-depth financial analysis of assigned business sectors, contributing valuable insights to enhance financial performance.

• Assisting in comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data.

• Providing essential support for both internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and providing clear explanations of financial data as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, providing a solid foundation of financial principles and practices.

• Demonstrates intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, capable of performing complex financial analyses and creating detailed reports.

• Shows proficiency in the Fixed Asset Management system in SAP, enabling efficient tracking, evaluation, and management of company assets.

• Experienced in using SAP ECC or S/4HANA, with a clear understanding of its functions and capabilities to support financial operations.

• Possesses a background in a manufacturing or product-related industry, lending a unique perspective and understanding of industry-specific financial practices.

• Experience in managing fixed assets, demonstrating a keen understanding of asset management principles, and optimization strategies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, ensuring all accounting tasks are performed in compliance with these standards.

• Familiar with Lease Accounting, able to accurately account for and manage company lease agreements.

• Demonstrates proficiency in Inventory Management, capable of effectively managing and optimizing company inventory levels.
