　　Job Summary:

　　The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate at Raytheon. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization , and engineering laboratory management.  We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.

　　The Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication department is seeking Electrical Prototyping Inspection Technicians to work in an engineering environment to co-develop engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements, as well as industry standards. Candidates will collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects to bring design concepts to fruition, providing rapid engineering, fabrication , and prototyping solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle.   

　　Responsibilities of a Staff Technician:

　　Inspect moderately complex prototype electrical assemblies for compliance to workmans h ip standards .

　　Rely on moderate experience to interpret drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes, and specifications.

　　Adapt methods and procedures to inspect and analyze new hardware.

　　Appl y semi-advanced skills to inspect moderately complex prototype electrical assemblies.

　　Assist in electrical/mechanical engineering drawing peer reviews to validate engineering design specifications in development of producible prototypes.

　　Assess moderately complex designs to ensure producibility, maintainability, safety, and reliability.

　　Communicate workmanship concerns to customers and collaborate on design improvements.

　　Perform other task related duties as required .

　　  Qualifications You Must Have:

　　High school, secondary school, or equivalent with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in an engineering environment , testing , fabricating electrical assemblies in three or more of the following areas: cables or wire harnesses, breakout boxes , or chassis , circuit card modifications, and racked electronic equipment.

　　Previous work experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.

　　Qualifications We Value:

　　Strong understanding of engineering principals and design techniques

　　Effective interpersonal skills in order to develop report and build positive relationships with both internal and external customers

　　Experience analyzing and interpreting schematics and drawings to identify producibility issues

　　Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe software, including 3D-PDF

　　Motivated self-starter with the ability to use good judgement and to work independently or collaboratively in an engineering environment

　　Associates degree in related field; OR military electronics or avionics training, OR vocational or college program certificate

　　Familiarity with 3D drawings and CAD tools

　　Ability to prioritize work, understanding of schedule and budgets

　　J-STD-001 Solder certification

　　IPC 610 & 620 Acceptability certifications and inspection experience

　　Experience working in an environment where your work is post-build inspected

　　Experience with the fabrication and cleaning of High Pressure / High Purity Gas Systems

　　The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
