　　The Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) Energy (ENR) Global practice performs engineering and CAD services to support Civil, Electrical, I&C, Mechanical and Structural disciplines for power generation and storage projects. Recent projects are located in North America and include conventional and renewable power generation projects ranging from reciprocating engine, simple cycle combustion turbines, combined cycle combustion turbines, existing plant maintenance and improvements, electrical upgrades, controls upgrades, battery storage, photovoltaic solar, mining utilities, and implementation of carbon capture and hydrogen blending. Burns & McDonnell’s scope on such projects can range from engineering detailed design services to self-perform EPC.

　　For anElectrical Engineer-Power System Studies (Arc Flash Expert), following are some specific duties & responsibilities:

　　Coordinating project design assignments and design teams;

　　Electrical power system modeling using software like ETAP, SKM, EazyPoweretc;

　　Performing Electrical power system studies like load flow, short circuit, protective relay setting development calculationand coordination studies, arc flash analysis and mitigation techniques, harmonic analysis etc.;

　　Writing reports for electrical studies and doing preliminary feasibility studies.

　　Preparing engineering cost and man-hour estimates and schedules;

　　Preparing/creating electrical deliverables like one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, interconnection drawings, equipment layouts, cable schedules, panel schedulesof new or modifications of existing power generating facility electrical systems;

　　Provide leadership, guidance, instruction, and mentorship to less experienced staff members;

　　Regularly meeting and corresponding with clients or outside personnel.;

　　Travel to the United States as required and requested to support assignments on projects and overall office needs.

　　Qualifications

　　Work experience which demonstrates progressive design and project management responsibilities. Has experience with design scope development, budget preparation and project execution meeting schedule requirements and maintaining established budgets. This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments. Must be capable of interpreting and developing solutions to complex problems.

　　Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from accredited program. 

　　Minimum 3-6years of related experience.

　　Experience in power system studies, protective relaying and arch flash analysis with mitigation technique recommendation and report writing is required.

　　Associated systems design and construction administration understanding is preferred.

　　Software experience utilizing SKM Power Tools, ETAP, CDEGS or similar software is preferred.

　　Field construction and commissioning experience is preferred.

　　Excellent written & verbal communications as well as strong analytical & problem solving skills are required.

　　Previous consulting engineering experience preferred.
