The Electrical Operations Manager will be responsible for all electrical and maintenance aspects of company’s fleet and island.
This position reports to the Manager of Electrical Technical Operations
Responsibilities- How you will make a difference
Manage assigned Electrical Engineering work, including Management of Specialist Vendors.
Oversee Ship Marine & Technical Officers and Island Technical Team in coordination with Original Equipment Manufacturers and experts with Regulatory Surveyors.
Oversight and management of DCL Show Quality Standards (SQS) for architectural lighting, managing specialist vendors and integrating with Walt Disney Imagineers (WDI) to ensure standards are maintained.
Oversee and ensure guest critical systems are operational and maintained, including but not limited to, Elevators, Main/Guest/Crew Laundry, Galley Equipment, Guest and Crew Cabins, Automatic Swing Doors, and Architectural lighting.
Oversee Engineering documentation and updating for area of responsibility.
Manage and follow up on Electrical items for Asset Information Management System (AIMS).
Responsible for budgets in areas of responsibilities.
Ensure approvals and compliance are in place for mandatory Maritime Electrical Engineering Safety and other Engineering Regulations are in place for planned work, including design and type approvals, Factory Testing and Harbor and Sea Trials.
Manage DCL Safety Management System, Reports pertaining to issues within areas of responsibility.
Maintain current & update shore-based library of electro-technical information in systems of record relative to each vessel.
Basic Qualifications
Relevant Electrical Engineering Degree; or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience with Elevators.
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years sea-going and/or ship management marine or industrial engineering experience.
Cruise Sector Experience.
Professional training in maritime Regulations.
