  Job Summary

  Youth Education’s Classroom Assistant works as the Education Assistant across our Campus Camps and Pre-College programs.

  Our Campus Camps and Pre-College at the U summer programs are built to inspire education, innovation, and imagination. We develop interests and passions through experiential education and extend the resources of the University of Utah to students 17 and under. Our summer programs run for 10 weeks in the summer, Monday-Friday.

  This is an in-person position. Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The selected candidates must be able to start work the week of June 3rd, 2024. Please email [email protected] with questions.

  As an Education Assistant you will:

  Learn and implement various classroom management techniquesIdentify different teaching stylesObserve how learning abilities differ by ageGain experience in Inquiry-based EducationResponsibilities

  Assist with classroom management including the direction, supervision, and organization of campersAssist with facilitating activities, helping with field trips, managing supplies, etc.Work with Youth Education instructors and staff to ensure program qualityDeliver extraordinary customer service to all program participantsRecognize and respond to teachable moments in the groupEncourage campers to participate in activities by demonstrating excitement and enthusiasm appropriatelyOther duties may be assignedMinimum Qualifications
