Introduction
The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) is a world leader in global business intelligence. We help businesses, the financial sector and governments to understand how the world is changing and how that creates opportunities to be seized and risks to be managed.
At our heart are forecasts for the majority of the world’s economies. We seek to analyse the future, delivering data and insight through multiple channels, allowing our clients to make better decisions.
We’re changing. We are adopting new back-end data management, forecasting and content systems, which will ensure we can continue to develop and deliver innovative and personalised solutions for our clients.
A highly collaborative team of Analysts, Product Managers and Engineers are working together on procuring and implementing new editorial tools to support our rapidly changing content creation and delivery processes. As the Editorial Tools Manager you will manage a collection of these inhouse and outsourced tools utilised by our Analysts, and ensure that these systems are functioning as expected at all times.
You will work closely with our Editorial teams and our internal engineering teams and external suppliers. You will ensure that processes run smoothly, that changes are implemented efficiently and that users are effectively trained on the tools that enable their everyday work. As well as ensuring that the day to day runs smoothly, you will be focused on continuous improvement in terms of how we deliver our applications to ensure best practice and ongoing innovation of our content.
