  TheMaxim Travel Division is seeking an EchoCardiographer Technologist to perform vascular and echocardiographyultrasound examinations for Pediatric patientsin San Antonio, TX!

  Position Details:

  -Contract Length: 13 weeks

  -Number of Openings: 1

  -Shift Length: 40 hours

  -Shifts: Days (8hr shifts)

  -Start Date: 3 weeks from offer

  Compensation (40 hours/week):

  *TotalTravel Package = $3,209/wk

  ·Weekly Housing Allowance: $1,001

  ·Weekly Meal/Incidental Allowance: $448

  ·Weekly Taxable Income: $1,760

  *Based upon qualifying for position and allowances. Totalpackage is inclusive of taxable wages and Allowances.

  Responsibilities:

  Performs diagnostic cardiovascular and echocardiography ultrasound examinations according to department procedures.

  Locates and records internal elements of the body, including blood vessels and organs, and identifies any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant condition.

  Performs imaging and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations, including exercise tolerance tests, Holter monitoring, event recorders, electrocardiograms, stress tests, and transesophageal echocardiography.

  Adjusts equipment and calms patient to eliminate test artifacts.

  Monitors the patient for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.

  Recognizes abnormal rhythms and immediately notifies physician. Evaluates test results for clarity and accuracy; reviews tests with peers.

  Informs physicians of preliminary findings as requested, and according to Department procedures.

  Distributes completed test results to physicians and service providers.

  Maintains patient charts, enters diagnosis and billing codes, logs data into patient information systems, and updates file systems for tests performed.

  Cleans and sterilizes equipment and work space. Recognizes equipment malfunctions and readjusts equipment or refers for repair.

  Instructs patients in pretest preparation, answers questions and explains procedures.

  Adheres to all Maxim and worksite rules, policies and procedures

  Other duties as assigned

  Minimum Requirements:

  An Associate’s Degree or experience in a related field preferred and/or per state requirements.

  One (1) year of experience as an ultrasound technician preferred.

  Current BLS card.

  Successful completion of Maxim Healthcare Staffing testing process.

  Current physical exam, if required by state regulations or contract specifications.

  Current TB test or chest x-ray.
