As an Early Career Process and Technical Support Engineer in Richland, WA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:Perform Non-Destructive Assay (NDA) on contaminated equipment and other items to be disposed and assume other assay related functions such as: developing and maintaining ISO-CARTTM assay qualifications, responding to emergent needs related to NDA including equipment troubleshooting, learning and mastering certain key software packages, interfacing with multiple internal organizations to classify, certify and ship wastePerform process engineer responsibilities for uranium recovery processes and provide guidance in waste analysis, waste classification and waste shipping oversight in our Richland, WA location.NDA gamma ray analysis ISO-CART operation in support of waste assay and equipment free releaseMaintaining qualifications and certifications for all waste related activitiesIdentifying root cause of NDA measurement issues and implement corrective actionsLearn and utilizing certain key site software packages including the Waste databaseEnsure compliance with federal and state waste regulationsProvide process equipment support, give support and instructions to Operators and Waste techniciansPerforming other related duties and tasks, as requiredThis position requires occasional travel.
