The DSP/CRMA will provide assistance and supportto individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in aresidential setting. This role involves direct care, medicationadministration, and promoting the well-being and independence of theindividuals we serve.
Responsibilities:
Personal Care Assistance: Assist individuals with activities of dailyliving (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.Provide support in maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness.
Medication Administration: Administer medications according toprescribed schedules and ensure adherence to medication plans. Monitorand document individuals\' responses to medications, reporting anyadverse reactions or concerns.
Support Individual Independence: Foster a supportive and inclusiveenvironment that encourages individuals to achieve maximum independence.Encourage and assist individuals in participating in communityactivities and social events.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation ofindividuals\' progress, care plans, and medication records. Report anyincidents, changes in health status, or unusual occurrences promptly.
Communication: Collaborate with case managers, healthcare professionals,and other team members to ensure comprehensive and person-centered care.Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and guardiansregarding care plans and updates.
Crisis Intervention: Respond calmly and effectively in crisissituations, following established protocols and ensuring the safety ofindividuals.
