  The Role

  Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for development of e-learning programs. Supervises the planning, developing, and coordinates O38 product training programs for ultrasonic and MT/PT testing. Obtains information needed to prepare O38 training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids/mock-ups for ultrasonic testing technique. Additionally, the selected candidate should have prior Radcon qualification and be proficient in performing work in radiation areas. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Tracks qualification expiration and ensures maintenance is completed. Continuously revises training material to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. Should have a working knowledge of MT, PT ET, UT and VT and the ability to teach and lead is strongly preferred. Ability to obtain a Confidential clearance is required.

  Must Have

  Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience

  One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

  NNS Apprentice School graduate

  Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate

  Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience

  Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience

  High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience

  High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
