Job duties include: fill cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, or other fillers; use caulk guns or putty knives;cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfacesduring painting, smooth surfaces using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool, or sanding machines;receive work order or instructions from supervisors or homeowners to determine work requirements;apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces to bare wood or metal for finish coats;apply paint to surfaces using brushes, spray guns, and rollers;protect structures or surfaces near work areas to avoid damage;performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and bending or twisting body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials;wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, or life jacketsThree (3) months of experience at a hotel, resort, restaurant or private club required.
All worksites located in BLS Ara Pensacola-Ferry Pass Brent, Florida and Daphne-Fairhope-Foley, Alabama. Workers are assigned to one (1) worksite per day, and rarely travel outside of their assigned worksite. Therefore, travel throughout this area is required less than 5% of the time. Daily commuting time to worksites is less than one (1) hour.
Daily transportation is provided to and from worksite.
On-the-job training is provided.
Wage: Guaranteed prevailing wage rate between $18.42 and 19.51 per hour depending on worksite location, paid bi-weekly. Overtime is available and guaranteed between $27.63 and $29.26 which is no less than 1.5 times the regular hourly rate.
Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening and weekend hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Work hours and shifts vary.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due.
Federal requirements of employer for workers hired with H-2B Visa authorization and all corresponding U.S. workers. Company will consider all qualified candidates.
Company is willing to facilitate housing accommodations through a third party only to qualified candidates who reside 100 Miles outside of the work location that are willing to temporarily relocate to the work location. Housing is limited to the period of time of temporary employment which is no more than nine (9) months and is on a first come first serve basis. Cost of housing, if accepted, is up to $150 per week payable to third party housing provider. If housing is utilized, an agreement for housing will be required with the third-party provider. A security deposit of up to $0.00 is required.
All deductions from paycheck will be made in accordance with and as required by law including but not limited proper deduction to ensure wages do not improperly fall below prevailing wage.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workwe
